We started with 30 contenders in our school's first Mock Caldecott, and we've narrowed down to our 7 favorites. Who do you think will win?

I have been loving all of the awesome blogging going on! Guest bloggers, student work, videos and more!

Don't forget it's Family Blogging Month! Do you have some super commenters in your class? I'll be choosing three kids to be guest bloggers on our school blog, and one random commenter will be selected to be principal for a day! Family blogging month ends Friday!

January 30th- Star Academy Genius Hour: Collaborative agenda link here
January 27th - ALA Awards broadcast! December and January: Mock Caldecott at Star Academy! Click here for the link to the live broadcast of the awards ceremony! It starts at 5 am PST, so we will have to check in for the video that should be posted around 10 am...
January 29th-Staff meeting in the lounge- Review WASC / Evacuation Plan / School Tours 10:30 Pennies for Patients assembly
January 31st- Earthquake drop drill at 2:20  and Movie night at 6 PM-- Turbo! 

February 5th- Late start Wednesday- grade level planning  Digital Learning Day! Click here to sign up for the lab or iTouches
February 7th- minimum day / 1-2:00 WASC with Patrick Broughton in the Star Lounge
February 8th- A3WP Super Saturday  featuring Petra!
February 14th and 17th - no school
February 24-28 Book Fair 
February 28th- Dr. Seuss Night (we need to pick a date for our read a thon)
March 5th 10:20 Author Skype with Ame Dyckman!
